Ron_PlaceDr. Ron Place has been involved in school safety for almost twenty years.  Before retiring from a Colorado Springs school district, Dr. Place was responsible for the district computers, networks, telephone systems, public address system, and fire alarm systems.  In addition he worked with his colleagues in maintaining the district security video surveillance system.

 

photo (14) Todd Nagel is an entrepreneur with experience in the financial, technology and non-profit arenas. He has deep concern for education and currently works with school districts in Colorado. He is passionate about his family, loves learning, creating and having big fun in Colorado!

 

Jim_BrandtJim Brandt went into the wood manufacturing business in 1975 and has been an owner/partner of four different wood manufacturing businesses since that time – each addressing different areas of the market.  (Kitchen cabinets, store fixtures, commercial mill work and architectural doors.)  Mr. Brandt currently owns and operates High Country Doors, Inc. in Colorado Springs and is the husband of Lisa Brandt and two great sons – Jason and Tyler Brandt.

 

Tyler_BrandtTyler Brandt has been attending Palmer High School for the last two years and is now a Junior.  Through having a Mom as an elementary school teacher and being a student he has come to understand school policies.  Because of the recent school shootings, Tyler has become very concerned about his friends’ safety  and the safety of children around the country.  After learning about Dr. Ron Place’s idea for the Z-SafeLock at a start up weekend, Tyler has been enthusiastic to get this product in classrooms around the country to ensure the safety of all students.  Outside of his work with Z SafeLock Tyler is a committed hockey player and plays for the Pikes Peak Miners along with his high school team the Palmer Terrors. In the future he plans to be an Entrepreneur and keep working with start up companies.
